Riverside Artists Group Lockdown Exhibition

Riverside Artists Group has launched on 4 July 2020 a new online exhibition by 16 of its members of work made during the lockdown. Visit the show on their website here.

QEST Craft Funding

The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust is offering scholarships of up to £18,000 to further education through traditional college courses, vocational training, apprenticeships or one-to-one training with master craftsmen. Apply by 24 August, more information here.

Seeking three UK associates to participate in their science, technology and society thematic programme, apply by 28 July. More information here.

DaDaFest Festival Commissions

d/Deaf and/or disabled artists can apply for one of 10 micro commissions of up to a £1,000 or one of four festival commissions of up to £2,500. The commissions will be presented as part of DaDaFest’s 2020/21 season of activities. Apply by 20 July for the micro commissions here and for the festival commissions here.

LCR Short Film Commissions

LCR Pride Community Fund is offering support to LGBT+ filmmakers or those producing films that focus on all parts of LGBT+ life, apply by 3 August. More information here.

Art in the Archive Bursary

The Women’s Art Library and Feminist Review are inviting submissions to create a “remote residency” based in the Women’s Art Library collection as an unofficially digitised archive. Apply by 1 September, more information here.

Focal Point Gallery, in Essex, has reopened with the exhibition 'In My Room' by Hannah Quinlan and Rosie Hastings presenting a new body of work tackling the artists’ enquiry into the politics, histories and aesthetics of queer spaces and culture. The BBC is streaming 'Whoever Heard of a Black Artist? Britain's Hidden Art History', where Brenda Emmanus follows acclaimed artist Sonia Boyce in the lead up to a new exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery, highlighting groundbreaking artists of African and Asian descent.
