Road to a Vaccine Town Hall

Assemblymember Nazarian invites you to attend his Road to a Vaccine town hall co-hosted with our partners from LA County Public health, the USC School of Pharmacy, and USC Medical School. Attendees will have the ability to ask questions regarding the Coronavirus research taking place across California, public health concerns in the San Fernando Valley and how to stay safe in the face of California re-opening.

Library to Go & S.A.F.E. Centers

You can now use pick up services at the Sylmar or Panorama City Library! Find out how.

Holds are available for pick up at select libraries. Holds may be picked up by appointment Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Libraries remain closed to the public, but staff are available to answer questions by email or phone.
 

S.A.F.E. Collection Centers to Reopen

SAFE centers to reopenL.A. Sanitation’s S.A.F.E. Collection Centers will reopen on July 11, 2020 for household hazardous waste and electronic waste drop-off. For more information about S.A.F.E. Centers, click here. All residents must adhere to COVID-19 guidelines (remain in vehicle, wear face covering, leave materials in unlocked trunk) or be turned away.

The nearest SAFE Center is Nicole Bernson S.A.F.E. Center 10241 N. Balboa Boulevard, Northridge, CA 91325.

Long wait times are anticipated.

LAUSD School Opening Update

 

A presentation was made to the LAUSD School Board on Reopening. Families responded that 35% wanted students to attend school on campus full time. 37% requested a blended approach, whereas 28% wanted to remain online. However, only 44% of staff were willing to return to campus.
