Welcome to our second monthly check-in email. The one I sent on June 15th was very successful—many of you jumped on the training and networking opportunities and I heard back from many of you about how things are going. Thank you! As always, I offer my support during your Encore Fellowship and I appreciate hearing from you on how things are going.

Encore Fellows Gatherings
The first Zoom meeting, for this cohort of Encore Fellows, was a hit! Chris Hart, who is wrapping up her Encore Fellowship at Catholic Charities Oregon, educated us about the organization and its mission, and then shared her accomplishments and lessons learned (presentation here). Thank you, Chris, and to all those who attended. We had a great discussion and it was fun to see your faces and touch on old connections!

Upcoming Events and Training Opportunities
Fellow Training 101: SVP Culture and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Workshop (required for all Encore Fellows) - July 15th, 3-6pm. Register here.
SVP Portland Onboarding Class (required for all Encore Fellows) - We have shifted our onboarding class to an online platform. Even if you are well into your Encore Fellowship, please complete the Onboarding Class. During the class, you will explore the Social Venture Partners Network, SVP Portland’s history, and expectations and opportunities for your role as an Encore Fellow.

Sharing Contact Information Across Fellows
One question I often get is, “Who are the other Fellows?” Since no one has objected to me distributing contact info across the Fellows group, I plan to share next month. If you do not want to be included, please let me know.
