Issue 64

July Partner Update

I appreciate we’ve been emailing you a lot recently, but there’s been some really positive happenings for the industry as we look to reopen many sectors at the weekend and we want to ensure we are keeping you as informed as we can on developments and promotional opportunities to help you get your business moving again.

At the same time, it is really important that we continue to get your feedback to pass onto Government and seek further support where we can.  One simple thing you can do right now to help us access more support for the industry is sign and share this petition we have created in conjunction with destinations from across the country to back a campaign encouraging government to ensure the tourism sector is supported through Winter 2020. Help us save our industry: Sign and share our petition and make this campaign gather national focus.

If you’re still trying to work through the minefield of Government Guidance and what it means in practical terms for your business, UK Hospitality have launched a guide which has consolidated advice and good practice from many parts of the hospitality and visitor sector into one guidance document, to help businesses make their workplaces COVID-19 Secure, in line with Government guidelines.  You can access the guide here

Below you will find information on FREE campaigns to help you attract guests and visitors once you have re-opened as well as helping to make the process as smooth as possible by arming visitors with information before they arrive.

Know Before You Go

Visit England have launched a new consumer campaign designed to support tourism recovery as businesses get ready and begin to reopen, reassure visitors, build consumer confidence and encourage them to visit responsibly. Know Before You Go is a clear and simple message that compels those intending to travel within the UK, to check before setting off. It is also a tool to reassure local residents that steps have been taken by local tourism businesses and the industry to encourage visitors to research before they leave home and therefore travel responsibly and respectfully.

We will be supporting the campaign through our own Visit Lancashire channels and would encourage you to do the same.

Download the industry toolkit and assets here to be part of the national Know Before You Go campaign to empower consumers to inform themselves before booking a trip.
