Dear Pastor John, Amanda, and CLC Congregation,
Thank you all SO MUCH for welcoming me as an intern these past two semesters! I loved being a part of each of the kids lives in one way or another. While I'm off on a new journey (I've accepted a full-time position at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomer, WI as their Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Director), know that you all hold a very special place in my heart. I'll be sure to visit when I can, and I'm sure many of you will hear updates from my grandparents, Bill & Gwen Couch. Thank you so much again!

Dear Saints of Cross Lutheran,
To state the obvious, we are living in strange and new times (for many of us) as the Covid19 pandemic is causing much havoc and financial hardship for many. Therefore, I am pleased to announce a new ministry opportunity designated for the members of Cross Lutheran who may be experiencing economic hardship because of the pandemic.
This ministry is the Cross Lutheran Covid19 relief fund and will be available to active members of Cross Lutheran that are: furloughed, jobless, whose working hours are reduced or whose businesses have been stopped because of the pandemic. If you have any doubt about your eligibility for help; please speak directly to Pastor John.
Funds will be sent directly to utility companies, landlords, banks or automotive service and accounts. This is a limited fund, and distribution will be capped at $300 per household until the fund is depleted.
Distribution of funds will be held in the strictest confidence; although for accounting purposes there will be an application to fill out. These applications will be secured and then destroyed once the crisis has ended or the account is depleted.
For donations to the fund please write Covid-19 relief on the line item of the check.
Please note that Friday is Pastor John’s day off, and so urgent requests should be made by Thursday.
If there are any unused funds in the account on December 1, 2020; these funds will be turned over to the church council to be used as they deem best.

Donate via Cross Lutheran's new QR Code!
For people that are familiar with PayPal, PayPal has offered up no fees if people pay via their newest contact-less means called QR Code.
There are benefits for both the church and the person donating.
- Benefit for the church: there are no fees through July!
- Easy! for the person to donate!
- You need to have the PayPal application on your device to donate this way.
What is a QR code?
First, it’s helpful to understand what a QR code is and how it works. In short, a QR code – also known as a Quick-Response Code – is a two-dimensional barcode that you can scan with the camera on your smartphone or with QR-code reader apps. Once scanned, the QR code redirects you to a website or other destination.
Using a QR code to accept payments works in the same way. We have creates a PayPal-generated QR code for the church. All you need to do is simply scan the QR code below, which will redirect you to your own PayPal account. You log into your account, enters the amount to pay, selects her funding source – like a bank account, credit or debit card – and completes the payment. (see the examples below)
Instructions (see pics below for examples):
** (if you don't have the PayPal app/account - you would need to set that up first):
1. Scan the QR Code with your Smartphone Camera.
- click the PayPal QR Code banner that shows up at the at the top of your smartphone screen that ask if you want to Open in PayPal.
2. Enter Donation Amount, along with a message if you wish, and select next.
3. Verify Donation Amount,
- Verify the account the donation will come from (you will need to choose one) if you have multiple accounts set up in PayPal.
4. Confirm the amount you sent to Cross, along with any message. Done!

- Download on the app store - available for Apple and Android (iTunes or Google Play)
- Enter our zip code “54023” and choose “Cross Lutheran Church”

You can make one time, or recurring donations (to the General, Building, or Capital Campaign fund). You are able to make donations to multiple funds in 1 transaction. You can also give to more than one church via the mobile app, so making a visitor donation is EASY!

You are able to make your own changes!
- Copy or paste this link in to your web browser: www.robertscrosslutheran.com/give/
- Go to the Simply Giving section at the top section of the page.
- Go to the Log in / Create Profile button at the top.
- If you know your Profile Credentials you can log in, if you do not, it will lead you through the process of re-setting your password.
- Enter your Email Address and Password you originally registered your donation under.
- If you do not know either of those, go to the Forgot your Email Address or Password? link to reset your Profile.
If you would like to set up a new donation go to the Create Profile button under the Create Your Profile section on this page.
