In the years we've been growing blueberries, we've never seen our plants this full of giant berry clusters. Harvest is fast approaching and we're starting to see some purple and blue berries on the bushes. We are glad that at least one thing is going right in 2020.
We're estimating that fresh blueberries will be ready in about two weeks!
So what will it look like this upcoming season? That is a good question and we've been asking it a lot ourselves. It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we are not opening our fields to you-pickers this summer. We've put off this decision for as long as we feel able and are so sorry to have to do it. We know it has become a long standing tradition in many families and friend groups. For the sake of our community, you all, and our employees, we must close our fields for the season.
With all that said and the plethora of berries in the fields, we'd certainly still love to see your [masked] faces up at the farm this summer! To sweeten the trip, we're offering something brand new: freezer ready bulk buy boxes!

So head on up and take a break from your day-to-day! Gather round our newly set up and rearranged outside seating area — we've set it up to comply with social distancing guidelines while still being able to enjoy a day out and a treat (or three).
We will continue to have the walk-up window and we have reopened the farm store. Masks are required for entry into the farm store itself and highly encouraged for those coming to the walk-up window. Pick up some freezer ready (we suggest picking up an extra pint or two to snack on back to your home) blueberries and a frozen treat (popsicles, ice cream, and ice cream sandwiches are ready for you)! Hit the open road for fresh berries, stock up for winter, and enjoy the breathing room of the Skagit Valley.
