Alameda County Pauses Reopening Plan

Alameda County Public Health Care Agency released a statement this week that given recent increases in COVID-19 cases and hospitalization rates in the region, it is temporarily pausing reopening plans; this means extending the timeline for the next phase of reopening and pulling back its request for a Variance Attestation. See Press Release

Face Coverings Required at All Businesses
To control the spread of COVID-19, all residents and workers must cover their nose and mouth with a face covering, such as a bandana, scarf, towel, or other piece of cloth or fabric, when leaving home for any reason. Employees must wear a face covering when in the workplace except when in a private space or area not regularly used by others. Businesses are also required to remind customers or visitors to wear face coverings while inside or waiting in line to enter their business.

Pleasanton businesses are encouraged to post the No Mask, No Service sign to remind customers that face coverings are required at their establishment. Request a sign HERE or click on the image to download a PDF to print.

Business Support Fund Helps Small Businesses

In case you missed it, hear how the City’s Business Support Program has helped some of our small businesses. This is Shipra Channon, owner of JJ’s Threading Salon at the Rose Pavilion in Pleasanton. Shipra is one of the many business owners that applied for and received funds through the loan program. The simple application process provided funds to help her small business prepare to reopen during COVID-19.

The program provides zero-interest, unsecured, short-term loans of up to $2,500 ($2,900 in Downtown) to eligible independently or locally owned micro-enterprises, restaurants and retail businesses. Apply online at www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/eddsupportfund. See Tutorial for detailed application instructions.

Safely Making California - PPE Resources

California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA), Autodesk, and the State of California have created Safely Making California Marketplace to help fill the critical gap for all sectors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program connects CMTA member manufacturers and other manufacturers to employers that need to purchase non-medical grade PPE. See website for details and resources.
