Prayer Week | 6-11 July
We are now in a time of prayer and reflection, as we seek to discern together whether God is calling Daniel Beckett to be our Lead Pastor at GBC. We have designated next week as prayer week, and we would encourage everyone to join us in praying for the life and ministry of GBC, for our leadership, and for our witness in the local community.
Prayer emails: from Monday to Friday we will send out daily Bible reflections and points for prayer.
Prayer on Zoom: there will be three online prayer sessions, led by different members of the Leadership Team, focussed on extending God’s kingdom through our life and ministry of GBC.
Tuesday 7 July 7.00-7.45pm
Wednesday 8 July 7.00-7.45pm
Thursday 9 July 7.30-8.15pm

Prayer Walk on Saturday 11 July from 10.00am -11.00am. Meet outside in the GBC car park. This will be an opportunity for some socially distanced prayer walking in which we will be praying a blessing on our local community.
Prayer telephone: if you would like to have a phone call to talk and pray with a member of the Leadership Team, please contact the office (01480 458565) and we will arrange this.
Throughout this time Leadership Team will be gathering in any scriptures, or prophetic words/pictures that people have received, or any comments and questions to be considered by the Leadership Team. Q&A Session | Saturday 11 July | 4.00pm
At the end of our prayer week, and as part of our ongoing discernment process, we are planning a virtual Q&A session which will be broadcast at 4.00pm on Saturday 11 July where we will have an opportunity to hear from Daniel as he shares what is on his heart. Our moderator, Peter Nodding, will also ask some questions for Daniel to answer. This session will be easier to prepare for and to manage well, in these unusual times where we are prevented from gathering together, if you could send in any questions in advance. Please send them to ruth.blakey@godmanchesterbaptist.org by 8 July (or phone the office). We do hope to also be able to offer the facility for people to submit questions during the session as we recognise that additional questions might arise - but please don't all wait until then! Church members will all receive a link by e-mail to provide access to this broadcast. Non members are very welcome to listen in too - but please reply to this e-mail to request the necessary link.

Gift Hampers
We are planning to bless some Godmanchester based keyworkers with a hamper. The hampers will be put together during next week. We would love this to be a gift from the whole of GBC and would ask if you are able to donate something to go inside.
We are looking for:
Luxury Biscuits
Boxes of chocolates/ bars of chocolate
Sachets of Hot chocolate or other hot drinks
Small bottles of fruit juice
Fragranced tealights or votive candles
Handwritten notes of thanks or pictures from children
Or anything else you think of that you would be excited about receiving
Please drop off donations for this on Tuesday next week at GBC Centre or at 23 Bluegate
