Australian Bushfires🔥
Bushfires made quite an impact leading up to Xmas 2019.
We were able to lend a small hand by making Joey Pouches and Marsupial Bags for injured wildlife from materials we had in stock, including re-purposing the orange flannelette exhibit covers from our
How to Make a Monster exhibition. They were sent to Kangaroo Island, Victoria's Gippsland region & Woodgate in Queensland.
With generous help from the company Costume Box we also donated a Santa Suit to Woodgate State Emergency Service (SES) so they could spread a little joy after so many residents and animals were evacuated from their homes during the fires. The split image below is Julie's mum's front yard and bushfire ravaged back yard, she has quite a mob of kangaroos to care for.
