Topic: “How Can Journalists and Police Work Together Effectively?”Join us as we talk about some of the ways journalists and law enforcement can effectively and safely work together in periods of civil unrest – like the recent protests.

Description: Join Cincinnati SPJ for its free Zoom webinar, “How Can Journalists and Police Work Together Effectively?” on Thursday, July 9 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (EST.)

The panel of experts including law enforcement officials and local journalists will discuss some of the challenges --and solutions-- for reporters, photographers and videographers as they cover the news.

With a focus on police/journalist relations -- specifically, what can journalists and law enforcement do together in these situations to help de-escalate the situation? In periods of civil unrest like we’re experiencing now, it’s critically important that journalists and police are able do their jobs safely and effectively.

This event is free and open to everyone, but we encourage registration via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-can-journalists-and-police-work-together-effectively-tickets-111842716576
