There are times when words are simply inadequate and this is one of them.

The goal of completing acquisition of INTSABA, our dream mountain farm, has been accomplished. You helped us raise the $400,000 needed and on behalf of the hundreds of children who will be blessed there, we thank you!

Because you cared…

  • Children with no opportunity will get an  education
  • Children with no access will receive health care
  • Children who are malnourished, will be fed
  • Children with no safe shelter will have a loving home
  • Children with no hope will be hope filled.

This marks the beginning of a journey to create a Children’s Village at INTSABA, and social enterprises to support and sustain the village.

Stay tuned for exciting updates soon to come!

May God bless you for the difference you have made.

WHAT IS INTSABA?

INTSABA means mountain view. The lush valleys and rolling hillsides first attracted the Van Staden family who considered it their  “piece of heaven." They had visions of spending the rest of their lives on the farm until their circumstances changed and family demands motivated them to sell.

Upon meeting the Van Staden's, the SOHO team discovered their hope was to see this beautiful property developed to serve disadvantaged children and to host visitors.

The four-bedroom family home built in 2014 now houses INTSABA’s Agricultural Director, Dr. Tom Chittick, and the newly appointed general manager, Pamela Cominetti. The place is a beehive of activity as daily discoveries are made on the farm. Now that the acquisition is complete, the real work has just begun.

Shiselweni Region in Eswatini, has the largest population of child-headed children in the country, and there is eager anticipation of the time that INTSABA will become home to many homeless ones. SOHO envisions model programs addressing the social issues of poverty alleviation, abuse prevention, human trafficking, and gender-based inequity. Programs that will equip youth to be agents of positive change in their communities, and girls to have equal opportunity to learn and to grow.

We invite you to make this a place where you leave a legacy that will last. Together, we can change the future for many orphans and vulnerable children and prevent abuse and exploitation of girls in Eswatini.
