John Gabriel Report - July 2020

Thank you Thank you.. Praise the Lord – Testimony from John Gabriel

John and Kunjamma at the hospital

When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, I did not know much about my responsibilities. After I was ordained at Crossroads church Portland as a minister to Christ in India, I started to know about my duties and responsibilities. I realized that it was not a simple thing. But miraculously the prayers of the Christians flowed to go out and He started to bless my life.

My family went through so many obstacles and persecutions, but the prayers touched my life and made me strong. The work started to flourish and many many souls were added to the church. We decided to start the school and named it Crossroads, in respect to the church that I was ordained in. Many Christians in USA prayed for the school and it grew from 32 to 2400 students.

Thousands of families started to hear the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many got jealous and one time they attacked the school and destroyed a lot. However,  the prayers went to God and that same year we got another 200 new students. This happens because of his grace and not of our merit. The mission work is blessed and we have churches in three states. God hears the prayers and works miracles in our life.

A few days back, He did another great miracle in my life. He saved my life – prayer is the main source. I was taken to the hospital because of chest pain and had to spend two weeks in the hospital. Prayers flowed from different parts of the world. It reached God through Jesus and I felt his reply and came home without angioplasty or bypass surgery. What a great God we have!

Now I am really very proud of being the son of that great Father. It is great to serve Him. I made a decision to work for Him until He tells me to stop.  I know your prayers are with me and it makes me strong.

Thank you thank you dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Your servant in Christ,
John Gabriel

Covid Relief Programmes

The COVID-19 preventive lockdown has changed the life of every individual in the country. While the lockdown is laudable and very much required to fight the pandemic, it has also lead to numerous problems, especially for the underprivileged section of the society who live in a ‘hand to mouth’ situation throughout the year. Millions of daily wage earners have lost their jobs and are struggling to fend for themselves and their families.

Several parents at Crossroads are finding it difficult to pay the fees and also unable to buy the textbooks and notebooks. Though we have started online classes, many of them find it difficult to join due to the lack of a smartphone or computer.

With all these, and many more challenges ahead of us, we at Kerala Christ Church Mission are doing our bit through a number of activities, relief work and campaigns, to help those in need, and make the world a better place for our brothers and sisters.

Personal testimony

My name is Mr.Mathai K.T, a member of Christ Church puthuveli. I am a differently abled person because one of my legs were amputated some years back. Family expenses and my medical expenses are being met by the daily wages of my wife. Due to the spread of Corona pandemic our source of income was affected. In this distressed condition the grocery kit provided by the Kerala Christ Church mission has been a great relief for my family. We extend our sincere gratitude for this loving gesture of kindness. Praise The Lord!

Mr. Suresh and Mrs. Kaveri are a couple from Christ Church at Manimala, who were living in such a poor condition that they were not able to afford to build or to rent a proper roof over their heads.

During a mission field work done on February in the area of Manimala, pastors of KCCM visited the couple who were living in a small tent like set-up, made of plastic sheets in a small piece of land owned by the couple. Being moved by witnessing the pathetic living condition of the family, a decision was taken to build a proper house for them in the following pastor's monthly meeting, as a gesture of brotherly love.

They decided to conduct a fund raising for this good cause. Many individuals from various churches of KCCM generously contributed to the fund and the work started.

Several believers offered to provide various building materials and some voluntarily came forward to participate in the construction work. A group of pastors and believers, skilled in construction works voluntarily toiled for last two months and this new house has now become a symbol of brotherly love and christian unity.
