WE'RE GOOD TO GO: Your Questions Answered.
I want to reassure my customers that my pub is a safe place to visit and stay?
The Visit England ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard is a good place to start and once you are accredited, Stay in a Pub will issue you with a consumer-focused ‘Stay Safe’ mark.

This accreditation enables pubs with rooms to demonstrate that they:
  1. are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance
  2. have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment
  3. have checked that they have the required processes in place
The scheme has been developed especially with pubs in mind and with input from more than 40 industry bodies including UK Hospitality, the British Beer & Pub Association and Stay in a Pub.
How do I get my industry standard COVID-19 safe accreditation?
To obtain the mark, you must complete a self-assessment through the online platform https://goodtogo.visitbritain.com/ including a check-list confirming that you have put the necessary processes in place. Once this has been verified you will receive the Stay Safe mark and the We’re Good To Go certification for display in your premises and online.

The scheme is FREE for all pubs with rooms listed on
www.stayinapub.co.uk but when completing the online form, you must select Stay in a Pub as your membership association for accreditation.

Comment from the industry:

Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston said:
"I want to encourage the public to experience a great British holiday this summer and be confident that they can do so safely. This new industry standard will show people that tourism businesses, destinations and attractions are adhering to the guidance. It puts safety first and is an important move in getting this industry back up and running."

Founding Director of Stay in Pub, Paul Nunny said:
“In our recent survey of 12,000 customers, 41% said they were ‘completely comfortable’ about staying overnight in a pub and 80% ‘pretty comfortable’, however the ‘Stay Safe’ mark and this industry standard certification will go that important step further towards providing reassurance and boosting consumer confidence.  Over the past fortnight, we have seen a 48% increase in traffic to our website and since the Government announcements this week, the number of people searching for pubs with rooms has returned to 2019 levels indicating a rise in demand for staycations based in a great British pub”.
