This Month's Speaker is Dr. Renee Lertzman
Environmental Psychologist

Some highlights of this month's meeting:
  • Monthly Speaker: Feeling anxious and overwhelmed about climate change and our ability to solve the problem? Our guest this month, environmental psychologist Dr. Renee Lertzman, says we have a window of tolerance that, once we exceed it, causes us to shut down. Turning to the tools of psychology, we can acknowledge the feelings of anxiety that can immobilize us and create conditions that allow us to show up as our brilliant selves. Dr. Lertzman's unique and integrated approach brings together the best of the behavioral sciences, social sciences and innovative design sciences to create a powerful approach to engagement and social change.
  • Grasstops - Endorsements: Generate ideas for community leaders we can contact to endorse the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.
Here's the full draft agenda.  Please Note - It won't be final until Friday.
Braver Angels - Depolarizing Within Workshop
July 25, 2020, 9:00-11:30 AM
Ever wonder how to talk with your fellow climate advocates about those who hold other views? You are invited to a special training for Oregon volunteers - the Braver Angels Depolarizing Within Workshop for Climate Advocates. You will learn how to communicate in a respectful way that promotes understanding and moves our work forward.

"This workshop offers a deep dive into the polarization that exists within all of us, and manifests in our thoughts, words and actions. It gave me increased awareness and a way forward to healing divisions and working across party lines to build a more resilient future." - Meg, CCL Volunteer, Southern Oregon
  • Braver Angels is a citizens’ organization uniting red and blue Americans in a working alliance to depolarize America.
  • Braver Angel's workshops were the most popular workshops at CCL's Earth Day event in April and the CCL National Conference in June.
