Gen Con Online FAQ and Infographic Published

Gen Con Online
New on our website: the Gen Con Online FAQ and this handy infographic giving an overview of the Gen Con Online experience!

In addition to thousands of events and four days of livestreaming across three channels on Twitch, we'll be launching a Discord server, a digital storefront to sell new game releases, and a brand-new digital tool called the Looking Glass, which you'll use to discover and engage with the hundreds of exhibitors, publishers, artists, authors, and other partners who are participating in Gen Con Online!

Stay tuned for more announcements about everything we've got planned!

Gen Con Online Event Catalog Releases July 6

The next step on our journey to Gen Con Online is the release of the Event Catalog on Monday, July 6. We have thousands of events including all kinds of online gaming, seminars, panels, entertainment, and more. Events will run at all hours, and some event organizers will be offering sessions in several different languages other than English, including Portuguese, French, Spanish, Russian, and ASL!

Get Your Badge
Before you can register for events, you'll need a badge. To register for a free Gen Con Online badge, create an account or log in to your existing account on our website, accept the Terms of Service, then click the Get A Badge button on the left-hand side of the page. Once there, one more click is all it takes to add a Full Access badge to your account for Gen Con Online!

Build Your Wish List
Once you've got your badge and started to browse the Event Catalog, you can create a wish list through your account by adding events you're interested in. That way, you can easily submit all your picks at once when Event Registration opens!

Register for Events
Once Event Registration opens, on July 13 at noon Eastern, you can start registering for events. Note that all event tickets will be electronic tickets, which will be added to your account and collected electronically by the push of a button at each event.

Some events will be free, but a base price of $2 will apply to most ticketed events regardless of length, and some event organizers will set a higher price to cover the costs associated with producing events. A portion of the base price of every ticket sold will be donated to I Need Diverse Games!

Submissions Open for the Costume Contest

Costume Contest
Submissions for the 35th annual Gen Con Costume Contest are now open! Complete your submission by July 15 to be entered for judging. Finalists will be selected by our judges and announced just before Gen Con Online begins. During the convention, attendees will vote on their favorite costume to win Best of Show, and we'll announce the winner on Sunday, August 2! Finalists and winners will receive free badges to Gen Con 2021 and prize packs of official Gen Con merchandise.
