What if there’s a case of COVID-19 at school?
As in the Hillsborough County School District, if and when there is a case of COVID-19 at Lutz Prep, we too will follow CDC, FLDOE, and Florida Department of Health guidelines to ensure the safety of all staff and students on a case by case basis as recommended by those agencies. We realize that some parents may be uncomfortable with the plan which is why other educational options have been given. Similar to the district’s plan, below depicts our school’s steps in responding to a suspected Covid-19 case:
We Have Masks!!!
When we return to school in August, expect to see a lot of masks on faces of staff and students. They are not mandatory in our schools, however, they will be strongly recommended. LP will be providing staff with masks and offering our students at least three reusable masks a year.
Lutz Preparatory Summer Camp
Little Nerves Great Big Smiles!
Summer camp opened up at Lutz Prep June 1st. A few parents were a little nervous but no one could miss the large smiles on everyone’s face. Parents, students, and teachers were all anxious to get back into the swing of things. It was great to hear children laughing and playing together again and sharing stories of their day with their parents as they climbed into their cars at the close of the day.  Week five of summer camp begins Monday July 6th.
