A Salute to French Wines

Bastille Day Virtual Wine Tasting featuring Half-Bottles

Friday, July 10, 7pm via Facebook Live

Each year on July 14th, France celebrates their National Celebration, commonly known as Bastille Day. The French National Day is the anniversary of Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution, as well as the Fête de la Fédération which celebrated the unity of the French people on 14 July 1790. Celebrations are held throughout France.

At Vintage Wine Cellars, we have also always celebrated Bastille Day by featuring some great French wines, and this year is no exception. We have a special half-bottle edition of our virtual tasting, with four half bottles in the kit, plus two optional bottles that we will taste as well. All bottles listed are 375ml bottles, perfect for 2-4 people to taste.

Order the optional bottles separately! We will taste them during the session, but are offering them as an optional aperitif as you begin your tasting, and as a dessert if you would like to finish with Sauternes.

Aperitif:

Duval-LeRoy Champagne Brut

Dessert:

Chateau Laribotte Sauternes

Here are the wines in the tasting pack:

Domaine William Fevre Chablis 1er Cru 'Montmains' Domaine Gour de Chaule Gigondas Chateau de Parenchere Chateau Batailley

If you haven't tried one, here is how it works. We live stream the event on our Facebook Live page  Friday at 7pm. You don't have to buy the wines to join, anyone can watch for free - but it is more fun to buy the tasting kit and taste along. If you would like to check one out, watch one of the replays of a past event.

Normally $150+ we are offering this tasting pack for a special deal. Order online and you can pickup, have it delivered, or we will ship it to you!

On Friday, join us on our Facebook page at 7PM Friday, and we will have a chat. If you miss it, you can watch the replay!

We are featuring French cheeses to go with our French wines, including Mimolette (pictured) with it's interesting, tasty rind. We also have the classic Comté produced in the Jura Massif region of Eastern France, and St. Nectaire, a semisoft, washed rind cheese from the Auvergne region of France. These are all AOC cheeses that really express a story of their place of origin and historic cheese making.
