Howdy!
... and for my US American friends, Happy Independence Day! ✨✨ -
A huge
"Thank You" to Dave Winer for fixing Radio3, the app, that fuels this newsletter. 💕
It's been a privilege to have worked with
Zac Gordon for the second year on the
JavaScript for WordPress Conference, which will take place next week July 8 - 10th, 2020. My Talk will be my first talk for developers ever and is titled "Getting Blocks from Code to Plugin Repo" will be on June 9th, 2020 at 4pm / 20:00 UTC. Will I see you there?

The WordPress teams are
getting ready for WordPress 5.5 release. They have been working hard on an extra-ordinary new version with three feature plugins (
Extensible Sitemaps,
Auto-Update for plugins & themes, and
Lazy-Loading for images) merged to core,
plenty of new features for the block editor and updates to
many external libraries. Over the next few weeks we will watch for release notes.
The release team successfully pulled all the different pieces together. Before merging it with Core, the Gutenberg team will release one more version (8.5 RC) on Monday, July 6th, 2020. Feature freeze and first Beta is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Final release is schedule for August 11, 2020.
If you are interested in testing, there is a
Beta Tester Plugin in the WordPress repository. It's always helpful to test your implementation, themes and plugins with a new WordPress version before upgrading your live site.
It's going to be an exciting week. What will you be working on next week? Hit reply and let me know. 😊
