The COVID-19 pandemic is creating a growing range of challenges for societies worldwide. A number of the Oxford Martin School’s programmes are tackling the type of issues that the pandemic presents and researchers have quickly been able to turn their focus to COVID-19. They have created a dedicated webpage to compile this ongoing work. 

Foresight4Food upcoming events


eDialogue: What future for small-scale farming?
This eDialogue is co-hosted by SDSN Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems, Foresight4Food, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Agriculture Policy Research in Africa Programme.

- 27 August: Local Perspectives
- 24 September: Regional Realities

Livestock, Environment and People (LEAP) Conference

08th December 2020, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, OX2 6GG

The third LEAP conference, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust Our Planet Our Health initiative, will, WE HOPE, take place in Oxford in order to bring together researchers working on multiple aspects of meat and dairy production and consumption. We will continue to monitor Covid19 guidance and will adapt the conference accordingly.  Watch our video from last years conference

CALL FOR PAPERS NOW OPEN
The LEAP20 Programme Committee welcomes your abstract submissions for oral papers, panel presentations, and scientific posters. All abstracts should describe research on some aspect of meat or dairy (or substitutes). We are keen for researchers at all levels to participate, and especially welcome PhD students and post-docs. RIP the FCRN - long live Table!

Table is a new collaboration between the University of Oxford , Wageningen University and Research and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, which will launch later this year, and which builds on and ultimately replaces the FCRN. They aim to engage with a wide range of voices in the global food system to explore what deeper issues underlie disagreements and identify areas of consensus. Read more here:
