OC PARKS CURRENT OPERATIONS

OC Parks continues to adjust operations to carefully increase public access to parks and beaches as state and local health orders adjust.

As of July 7, Orange County regional and wilderness parks and County-operated beaches are open. Some amenities, including playgrounds, fitness courses, picnic shelters and nature centers, remain closed.

The OC Zoo and most historic parks remain closed.  The grounds of Heritage Hill Historical Park and Irvine Ranch Historic Park are open to stroll the exteriors, but the buildings remain closed. Individual campsites at O’Neill Regional and Caspers Wilderness parks have also reopened and may be reserved online or by calling the park itself. Group campsites remain closed.

Park and beach visitors should practice physical distancing, avoid crowded trails and areas, stay home if feeling unwell, and follow the Orange County Health Care Agency’s latest order

Park operations are subject to change based on state and local guidance. Please check our website for the most up-to-date information regarding closures and modified operations.

ANNUAL PASSES NOW AVAILABLE
AT SELECT LOCATIONS

Sales of OC Parks Annual Parking Passes have resumed online last month, and now some parks are offering in-person sales. Our annual pass page has more information and a list of offices offering walk-up purchases.

A parks-only pass is available for $55, as is a beaches-only pass for $55. A combination County parks and beaches annual parking pass costs $80. Discounts are available for seniors and disabled visitors. Please visit our Annual Parking Pass page for details.

Passes that were valid as of March 18, 2020 will be extended for an additional two months from the original date of expiration due to COVID-19-related parking closures.
