This Summer has been busy and filled with concerts including my groups and others. I'll be playing my last concert of the Summer at Tompkins Square Park on Sunday August 25th with George Coleman Sr. and Brian Charette as the headline act for the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival.
But the biggest news I have scheduled a recording with my own band and music which is something I have not done in 10 years! This is a long overdue project and I have already assembled a great band and producer. We will also play two nights at Smalls the day before the recording so this is a really unique situation to actually record with a working band!
This project will be self-produced so I will launch a GoFundMe campaign and will respectfully ask for you help to make it a reality. So stay tuned for details on this very exciting project.
