The Board of the SAODN would like to give the following update to the OD community.
Firstly, I would like to thank Roshon Omar for her service as MD of the Network for the last year. Roshon has as asked to be released from the MD role due to work pressure but will remain an active volunteer in the Cape Town region.
We welcome Judy Gounden and thank her for her agreement to step up and fill the MD position for the SAOD Network. Judy is an executive director and has been working with the partnerships portfolio at SAODN, speaking and hosting at our OD corners and has a passion for the profession and for the benefits of providing lifelong learning opportunity through sharing knowledge and experiences. She has deep experience in business strategy and transformation, organisational change and integration of businesses.
Judy’s priority is to redefine the SAOD Network business strategy and the workings of its affiliates.
James Eckley who has served the OD community for many years administrating SAODN Operations and Memberships, has decided to focus on other opportunities and as such Judy and her volunteers will take over the functions James administered. The Board and I am sure the members would like to express our deepest gratitude for his service to the networking of our OD community. We wish you well James, please don’t lose touch with the OD network.
The SAODN is your network and is run by volunteers in the service of the community. The objective is to build a healthy OD Profession and grow collaborative learning and sharing opportunities. We will be forming collaborative agreements with HR communities of practice and Academic institutions to achieve this goal. We can not do it without you. Please reach out to Judy  (judy@saodn.net) and share ideas as well as get involved in network sessions.
