This summer has been dedicated to research, preparation, and working on the multiple components for my Lake Erie/Great Lakes the Project. The project is funded by the Global Warming Art Project grant (from Ben Perrone and the 'Environment Maze' project donors); administered by Arts Services Initiative of WNY. https://www.asiwny.org/2019/07/03/announcing-three-new-recipients-of-global-warming-art-project-grants/

Collaborating with Biology Prof. Courtney Wigdahl-Perry, Fredonia State University and Biology Prof. Tim Davis, Bowling Green State University, we've begun to collect and document differing Lake Erie algae . Some of the collections have been met with varied success, I hope to travel to Maumee Bay in the next few weeks to meet up with Prof. Davis and collect  substantial HAB material.

I will be staining and dipping handmade paper (recycled, milkweed, raw cotton fibers) - some picture in process above -with the algae for a series of artist books and larger sheets of paper works to be included in the art installation.

I will continue to post periodically with documentation and images..

Wishing you a wonderful late Summer!
