Alameda Labor Council Sends Letter to Mayor Schaaf about Negotiations
An excerpt from the letter to Mayor Libby Schaaf from the Alameda Labor Council
Last week, the Alameda Labor Council Executive Committee sent the attached letter to Mayor Schaaf to express their deep concern about contract negotiations with Oakland city workers.

In addition to building our collective city worker power, it’s important to have solidarity from powerful allies like the Alameda Labor Council, which serves as the umbrella organization for more than 135 labor unions.

The letter was also sent to Oakland City Council Members, Assembly members Bonta and Wicks, State Senator Skinner, and Rep. Barbara Lee.

It’s imperative that we continue to grow strong internally, gather community support, and use our political power in solidarity to win a better Oakland for all of us!
