'Beehunter Marsh - Thaw'  © Robin Edmundson, watercolor, 7 x 12 inches.
Framed to 11 x 14 inches.  $280

Hello my lovely friends!

I confess the heat has been so unrelenting that my thoughts have been turning to winter. [I never thought I'd say that.]   That's why I chose the painting above for this month's note to you.   I'm thinking cool thoughts.

We've been doing a lot of hard work outside this month.  We ripped the old back addition of the house off and dug out a crawl space in preparation for the new back end to be built.  When finished, that addition will be home to a new mudroom, a pantry and the new kitchen.  We discovered that the original siding on that part of the house was a green very popular in the 1920s and 30s.  Also a section of house siding was painted a soft yellow [same wall!].  Another section of original siding was painted dark red.   It's possible that all three colors were on the house at the same time, but I sure hope not.

Along with the abundance of heat and the abundance of house colors, I've been having an abundance of ideas.   And then feeling a little overwhelmed at all the decisions to make.   I think that goes hand in hand with all creative endeavors - and house projects.   You can read more about that on the blog.

May you find your own good balance between abundance and overwhelm.  Summer blessings!
