Join us at the N Street Village for our next Meet-Up: Workforce Fridayson September 13th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at 1333 N Street, NW. As D.C’s largest provider of homelessness services for women, N Street Village recently expanded it’s programming to include vocational and educational support. The Marj & Mak Vocational Center, which officially opened in January of 2019, provides women with access to job seeking, job training, education and financial capability building services. They also interact and rely heavily on the services of local workforce partners and hope to continue building strong partnerships with other workforce agencies.
Please sign up to join us to learn about how N Street Village through its Marj & Mak Vocational Center empowers homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life.
Workforce Fridays is a peer-learning opportunity designed for local practitioners, businesses and stakeholder partners to learn and tour the site of a training program and/or facility. The site host organization will showcase during your visit:

Through our monthly Workforce Fridays we want to elevate and platform the approaches, programs and services employed by workforce development and adult literacy providers to train and equip a skilled workforce. CNHED’s Workforce Fridays are also intended feature best practices and share information that can be used in preparing local residents for high-demand employment opportunities that pay a living wage.
