Happy Birthday, Colesville United Methodist Church!!! We come from a long 225 year history in Montgomery County. Our church was established in 1794, just 10 years after the formal establishment of the Methodist Church in America in Baltimore City. We are founded by the preaching of Robert Strawbridge, one of the circuit-rider preachers of the early Methodist Church who preached to a congregation organized by Henry Baggerly in the Wheaton area. We will be celebrating our 225th Anniversary until November 10, 2019 at which time we end with a special service. The theme for the year will be, “Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Present, Envisioning the Future”

More great celebratory activities are coming soon, as follows:

October 13 2019 - Special Concert by the Colesville Music Department with All Choirs, Bells, Dancers and Children (with some CUMC History inserted with the songs and performances).
November 10, 2019 - Closing 225 Celebration & Commemorative Service with Special Guest Speaker.

Plan to be part of these events as we celebrate this year while also renewing our commitment to be a beacon of hope, faith and service to the Colesville Community.
