SKYSTONE Season in MO/KS

Where did the summer go? School is starting back already. Soon it will be Sept. 7th and we'll be kicking off a new season of FIRST Tech Challenge in Missouri and Kansas. We are so excited about the new game and the partnership with Star Wars Force for Change.

WHERE DO I FIND LOCAL INFO?

Everything you need to know about competing in MO and KS can be found on our website www.stlfirst.org/ftc-team-portal We have archived last season's page and your bookmarks might not work. Make sure it says SKYSTONE Season as pictured below.

TEAM REGISTRATIONS ARE CRITICAL TO PLANS

We need to know how many teams are planning on participating so that we have adequate space at our events and hopefully the event openings are in your part of the state. Please help us by registering ASAP.

Check out the Grant Opportunities listed on the MO/KS Team Portal. Some will pay your FIRST national registration.
Pay (or get covered by a grant) the FIRST Registration fee of $275 on your FIRST Dashboard.
Pay the MO/KS Registration fee of $225. This entitles a team to 1 Qualifier, 2 Meets and the Conference Qualifier (if the advancement is earned). Payment is by credit card and is processed by the St. Louis Community College Foundation.
Teams who have paid National and MO/KS Registration Fees are added to MOFTCScores website and given access codes for Event Selection.

KICKOFF EVENTS IN FOUR LOCATIONS

The SKYSTONE Game Field and Game Manual 2 will be released on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th. We will have kickoffs in St. Louis, Cape GIrardeau, Springfield and Kansas City. Times and workshops will vary. Please see the website for details and to RSVP with approximate counts.

Here's why teams come to Kickoff:

Be part of the FIRST Tech Challenge community - meet new teams, see old friends.
Learn about all the local season plans - events, advancements, etc.
Watch the Game Reveal video.
Ask questions of the experts.
Take home a field element (one per team and only if you RSVP) so that you can start engineering right away.

TRAINING CAMPS IN KC AND STL

Both Training Camps are on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 from 9-1. Workshops are still being finalized. See more info on the Team Portal as well as links for registration. You can RSVP now with approximate counts.

Presentations will be posted after the event as a resource for all teams.
