The Nia promise creates health and attunement with the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Nia workouts and teachers deliver holistic conditioning and movement training. Conditioning includes: cardiovascular (aerobic and metabolic/anaerobic) conditioning, voluntary (conscious/mindful) conditioning, and reflexive (spontaneous/unconscious) conditioning.
The methods used to deliver the Nia experience and promise follows The Body’s Way. Repetitive jogging and jumping are replaced with grounded movements that combine steps, stances, and kicks. Body education is integrated into each workout and is designed to help you develop the Nia language, somatic teaching skills, sensory IQ and body literacy.
Some of the key methods used in every Nia experience includes: the seven cycles, the three arts and nine movement forms, the five sensations, three planes and intensity levels, vocal sounding, and emotional expression. Each sonic landscape, the playlist, provides music to stimulate expression, movement variety, the seven chakras, and produce a variety of cellular stimulation to the nervous system.
