A New $250,000 Grant!
Epilepsy Foundation New England has been awarded a $250,000 AmeriCorps Implementation Grant from Volunteer NH. This grant will allow us to expand much needed youth and family services in NH. EFNE will be partnering with 8 nonprofit host sites across the state, and 14 AmeriCorps service members will be delivering our Young Leaders Networks, Kids Connect programming, Parent SHARE Groups, and educational programs for pre-k-12 schools, students, and school personnel. Members will serve in pairs in these locations:
- Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon
- Boys and Girls Club of North Country, Lisbon; paired with Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country, Franconia
- Zebra Crossings, Dover
- The Laura Foundation for Epilepsy and Autism, Madison
- TBD site, Plymouth
- Touchstone Farm, Temple
- Boys and Girls Club, Concord
The AmeriCorps positions are now open to applicants. AmeriCorps is an opportunity for dedicated indivduals to provide a year of service and a moment to take the path less traveled, to break the status quo, to stop talking about the problem and be the solution.
