MACROKIOSK encapsulates the true spirit of ‘Ciptaan Malaysia’ with its homegrown digital products, solutions and talents development to drive the nation’s digital economy.

“This new economic landscape of Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) will be driven by technology and most importantly, innovation. In order to provide for ‘Shared Prosperity’ in this new landscape, we need more companies such as MACROKIOSK in Malaysia to drive innovation while providing interesting job opportunities for our youth,” said Yang Berhormat Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia during an official visitation to MACROKIOSK’s founding office in Kuala Lumpur recently.

He added, “MACROKIOSK is the true embodiment of ‘Ciptaan Malaysia’ as it demonstrates that Malaysian innovation can be on par with – or even surpass – those in more developed countries.”

MACROKIOSK was awarded the MSC Pioneer Status in year 2001 and subsequently joined the Global Acceleration & Innovation Network (GAIN) program under the purview of MDEC in its quest to become a global tech icon.

“We take great pride in the fact that MACROKIOSK is created in Malaysia by Malaysians. All our digital products and solutions, the majority which are conceptualised, innovated and created by Malaysian talents, now serve millions of users worldwide on a daily basis,” said Dato’ Kenny Goh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, MACROKIOSK Group. “It is our vision to continue to play an active role in helping to drive the nation’s digital economy roadmap as well as the global digital marketplace.”

During the official visitation, the Minister delivered his keynote speech at a townhall session to more than 200 MACROKIOSK employees who are based in the Kuala Lumpur founding office, which consist of a young, gender-balanced workforce of highly-skilled talents in the digital industry.

The Minister was also given an experiential demonstration of MACROKIOSK BOLD. digital products and solutions that power more than 2000 clients across 37 countries in 18 industries followed by a tour of the founding office named The Space, which spans 21,000 square feet of talent space in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

The Space is designed as a forward-thinking, engaging and collaborative platform for both the talents and the development of digital products and solutions to encourage innovation and creativity.

The Minister’s visitation was in conjunction with MACROKIOSK’s 19th anniversary celebration. The group is committed to set high standards and scale new heights in the digital technology industry with the full support of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia along with MDEC.

Nurturing Future Entrepreneurs

MACROKIOSK lends its full support to the Young Enterprise Program (YE), an initiative by Junior Achievement (JA) Malaysia under the purview of American Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), which provides hands-on learning experience about entrepreneurship to secondary national school students across the nation for the past 30 years.

Dato’ Kenny Goh, Dato’ Henry Goh and Mr. CS Goh (MACROKIOSK Founders) were all alumni of YE during their schooling days and it is their aspiration to play an active role towards nurturing talents of the future.

MACROKIOSK hosted students of Section 1 Bandar Kinrara National Secondary School to MACROKIOSK’s founding office, named The Space located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre.

The visit was part of the Young Enterprise Program (YE) to provide the students with a first-hand glimpse of a corporate working environment and its culture where more than 200 talents reside to develop innovative digital products and solutions to over 2000 clients in 37 countries spanning 18 industries.

The founders of MACROKIOSK were on hand during the visit to impart valuable advice and share their entrepreneurial experiences to the group of 40 students and teacher advisors.
