Woodford Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

12th September 2019

at

Woodford Community Centre
Woodford Neighbourhood Forum is pleased to announce that the Woodford Neighbourhood Plan has been passed by an independent Examiner after amendments and was subsequently approved by Stockport Council to go to referendum on 12th September.

The Plan aims to protect the openness of the Green Belt, rural character, community facilities, views and natural features in the Woodford Neighbourhood Area, whilst allowing limited, small-scale housing and employment development that is in keeping with its character.

You can view the Plan on the Woodford Neighbourhood Forum website: http://woodfordnf.co.uk/

Paper copy is available to view at Bramhall Library, Woodford Community Centre, Woodford Church and the Davenport Arms.

The Plan applies to the Woodford Neighbourhood Area (the original village). The referendum is being organised by Stockport Council and will take place in the Small Hall at Woodford Community Centre from 7am to 10 pm on 12th September. Those on the Electoral Register within the Neighbourhood Area will be eligible to vote and will receive voting papers in the normal way. New residents who are not already on the Electoral Register can be added by contacting Stockport Council by 27th August 2019.

Eligible voters can apply for a postal vote by contacting the council at this web address: https://www.stockport.gov.uk/topic/elections by 28th August 2019.

The Woodford Neighbourhood Forum Management Committee is hoping for a good turnout to ensure a representative result.

If you are eligible, please vote to have your say.
