The Movie "Overcomer"

This is the opening weekend of a powerful movie about understanding our identity in Christ. When everything like a job or our skills are stripped away, our identity in Christ is enough! All God's Creatures Have a Place in the Choir!
If you have always wanted to try Choir but did not want to commit to all those rehearsals, here is your chance! On Sunday, August 25th, anyone who would like to sing that Sunday come to the Choir Room at 8:30am and we will learn a song for the 9am gathering. It will be fun! I hope to see you there! Funds for Rising TIDE
Once again we are raising funds for Rising TIDE, the free after school program in downtown Long Beach. Good Shepherd will match donations from our congregation. Please make checks payable to Rising TIDE, dated and turned in by Sunday, September 15th.

Connections Event
Join us for our Women's Ministry Connections Event - learning to make your own Dream Board - on Friday, September 27th, 6-9pm in the Fireside Room. We will begin with a potluck dinner (bring your favorite salad, main dish or dessert), followed by making a Dream Board. RSVP at the Women's Ministry table beginning September 8th. S.H.I.P.
Thank you to all who participated during the two weeks S.H.I.P. was here. The dinners supplied were delicious. Thank you to those who spent the night, supplied money for breakfast and lunch, etc. The guests appreciated all the prayers, love and support.
