DUE TO SPACE LIMITATIONS WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LARGER THAN THESE SIZES.

Identification and submission
All work submitted must be for sale.

A commission of 25% will be deducted from the sale price of all work sold.

Sale price must include frame and commission .

All work must be clearly labelled on the back/base with your name, address, telephone number, title of the work and medium, plus sale price.

All work to be hung must be fitted with secure, mirror plates and must be finished and dry. Three dimensional pieces must also come with adequate support for display.

Submission of Art will be on

16th September between 4pm and 7pm at C VIEW

Late submissions will not be accepted!

Selection and positioning will be by members of The New Fringe commitee who will make the final decision on which works are to be exhibited and shall reserve the right to reject any entry.

COLLECTION
ALL WORK MUST BE COLLECTED FROM C VIEW ON THE 30TH SEPTEMBER BETWEEN 4PM AND 7PM.

INSURANCE
The New Fringe will cover public liability but no liability is accepted for any loss or damage during transit or at the venue. Costs relating to additional insurance will be at the artist’s expense.

JUDGING
The judging of work will take place during the open event and the winner will be announced at the end of the evening. The judges decision is final.

An opportunity to connect with BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Amy O'Hara 1-1, to discuss funding & support available to writers, directors and producers based in the North.

Upstairs Room
Film show of shorts and overview of BFI work in the north by Amy O'hara and social.

These events are to encourage people at whatever stage of their desires, development, career in media production, film making, vlogging, cinematography etc. We also hope to encourage people from diverse backgrounds.

Hopefully this will lead into more regular debates, workshops and screenings by local makers.

Mike Stubbs and Juliet Farrer from Doncaster Creates hope to see as many there as possible
This is a good opportunity to have a catch up socially afterwards , maybe for a lemonade or two.

DAVE PARKES

COMEDY AT CAST FEATURING ONE OF OUR NEW FRINGE MEMBERS DAVE PARKES. LETS GET AS MANY PEOPLE THERE SUPPORTING HIM AS POSSIBLE. IT WILL BE A FANTASTIC EVENT.

DAVE PARKES

After struggling to deal with depression and anxiety for most of his life, (and after years of conventional therapy) Dave decided to use art as his therapy and found it better for his mental health. Creating portraits helped him through the hard times.
He has created artwork for the Doncaster council in the Waterdale. Painting famous local faces, such as Brian Blessed and Ben Parkinson. He then went on to do work for the Doncaster museum, as part of a holocaust memorial day in January 2018. He has also created a memorial art piece for Edlington colliery to remember the miners who worked there.
Comedy is a big passion of his, so Dave has created an exhibition all about lost comedy. This is being held at Cast in September 2019. There will be lots of famous faces, some you may not know and some you may have forgotten.
As Dave suffers with severe anxiety and depression he has decided that a percentage of any sales made on the day will go to Men's mental health charity CALM, which is a fantastic charity to support

Maia Weerdmeester

Since Maia completed her Fine Art and Craft Degree with Hons At Doncaster College and University Centre, She has gone from strength to strength.
Not only is she establishing herself as one of Doncaster's Finest Artists, but she is gaining recognition by winning awards and competitions. Her work is unique, beautiful and extremely hypnotic and she has recently had a feature in our towns very own Doncopolitan magazine.
