Hi everyone!

With the winter weather, we're really noticing the absence of the library space.  It was such a great place for families to slip into, to wait for classes and read or work.  And now we realise just how many people the library could accommodate.

So, although the group has grown, the busy feel is mostly because we don't have this space to use, and we're camping out in the foyer areas.

No word from the Council yet on what's happening with this space.

But we've ordered some nice sunshine for Thursday :)  And thanks everyone, for making the best out of the space we have, and for making it all work.

The Teaching Reading seminar with Dorinda is on this Thursday, 11am in the Library Room. More details below.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

CLASS NOTICES:

BASKETBALL - all basketball players need to wear closed in shoes.  No shoes, no play

KARATE BEES @ 12:30pm - we know that this class is sometimes struggling with competing noise levels with the basketball class on at the same time.  This is a scheduling issue and we will move some classes around to fix this in term 4.

LITTLE FERNS & ECO EXPLORERS:

for Thursday 15th August
A crazy shaped fruit/vegetable - only if you have one - not essential.
Yoghurt pot or cup to plant a bean seed.
It would be lovely to do a seed swap – if each child brings in a packet of seeds, they can swap and take home a selection to grow. (Not essential to swap, if you would prefer to plant your own seeds).

Sarah will have spare pots in case anyone forgets. Sarah will also have a selection of seeds - the more the merrier!

ADMIN SUPPORT

Introducing Jackie Reid who has kindly offered to help out with some behind the scenes accounts work for the group.  Jackie's homeschooled kids are all grown up now, and she has some spare time to give back to our group.  You might see Jackie's name on emails from time to time.  She wouldn't let me put up a photo though!  Thank you Jackie :)

And speaking of accounts, we have a very big YMCA term 3 invoice to pay next week, and the money jar needs topping up.  If you haven't paid, could you please do that soon?  Thanks!

If you need a copy of an invoice just email us:
