Let being kind to yourself be your standard operating procedure.

Challenging ourselves, expanding boundaries, and facing the hard truth is all necessary, but beating ourselves up over it is absolutely not.

Consider the ways we treat children. They make mistakes, stumble, express massive emotions, and struggle to figure out things us adults find basic, but we don't give them a hard time for it. We practice patience and kindness, even encouragement and validation for their efforts.

Maybe you weren't treated quite so kindly as a child, but you're getting a second chance every day of your adult life. It's your choice, <<First Name>>, and I fully support you choosing kindness.

Today, when you catch yourself being critical, harsh, or impatient to yourself, I invite you to pause long enough to consider being kind instead. I'd be willing to bet you'll find peace flowing in more freely.

Kindly,
G

PS - Kindness is contagious.
