Adult Learn to Sail

We are still working on a schedule for our Adult Learn to Sail programs. In the meantime we welcome you to send us an 'Expression of Interest' via our online form. This can be found on our Adult Learn to Sail page on the RPAYC website or by clicking HERE.

For this new training season onward, the Alfred's will be using the Australian Sailing 'RevSport' registration system, for all course and program registrations. For each registration made, the 'participant' will be required to enter their Australian Sailing number, so ensure you have this handy.

Upon registering for a course or program, follow the prompts provided to enter the 'participant's' Australian Sailing number. After this you will be sent an email invite to finalise your registration - it is important that the participant's email address is correct in the RevSport system.

The system is very user friendly, however, initially if you experience any difficulties we are happy to assist.

The benefits of using the RevSport system to each user will include, a fast-track registration process (once initially setup), plus a great way to track your progress in sailing, along with a place to store all of your course completion certificates and qualifications online.

About the Online Radio Course
Our Online Radio Course allows you to learn everything you need to know about using VHF Radios, at your own pace and whenever you like. At the end of this course, you will know how to call for help in an emergency, communicate with other vessels at sea, and understand how to use various safety equipment you may have onboard.

After you have enrolled, we will send your login details. The course takes around 4 hours to complete.

On completion of the course, you will have the opportunity to complete an exam and get your VHF Radio Licence. This will also allow you to apply for an MMSI number for your vessel.
