PROVINCIALS UPDATE

It's finally here! We're so excited for our 37 Piranhas and the entire VI Gators team to rip it up in Kamloops this weekend.

Location

The BCSSA Provincials Championships will be held at the Canadian Games Aquatic Centre - 910 McGill Rd, Kamloops, BC.

Warm Up Times

Please meet near the outdoor day tenting area (near the front doors - map below) for Activation at the following times:

Thursday Activation: 4:45- 5:00
Thursday Swim: 5:00 -5:45 (Ln ¾ Senior Pool)
Friday- Sunday Activation: 6:30-6:45 AM

Alternate Procedure

Provincial Alternates replace no-shows during the course of the meet, and they can replace swimmers from any Region.

Regional Alternates will only get to replace swimmers from their own Region who scratch prior to the race and have the proper paperwork.

Volunteer Shifts

We've done a pretty great job of filling our shifts but there are still a few spots open. If you haven't signed up please do so - everyone is expected to help out!

Here's a few spots we need to cover:

Security Viewing Area 4-6 on Friday (Piranhas)
Security Pool Entrance 2-4 on Sunday (Piranhas)
Timing Finals - Friday (any club)

Shirts/Caps

Provincial Shirts/Caps will be distributed to those who have paid the $25 starting on Thursday before warm ups. Swimmers will not get their shirts/caps until payment is received. 

Outstanding Shirt/Cap payment (this is a couple of days old so thanks if you have now paid!)

What to Bring

The team day camping area is in a gym. Chairs MUST have blankets/towels under them to protect the floor. 

Don't forget healthy food (and/or $$ for the food trucks), towels, goggles, legal suits (no metal/plastic fasteners!), water etc.

It's going to be H-O-T so be prepared!



Day Camping Set Up

We will be set up in the TCC Field House. The meet will be live-streamed on the large screen and marshalling is conveniently located between the Field House and the Pool.


There is very limited outdoor day camping space available too. This is where we will meet for activation.
