Call for Proposals for
MACA's "Engaging a Spectrum" Workshop
 
Do you have programs or other offerings for individuals with autism at your institution? Are you interested in presenting about your autism initiatives during MACA's "Engaging a Spectrum" workshop? If so, submit a proposal for a "Lightning Presentation" by Friday, August 30!  

Submit a brief description of your proposed presentation on this form.


Acceptance emails will be sent the first week of September.

"Engaging a Spectrum" Workshop Details:
 
Date: October 9, 2019
Time: 9:30 - 11:30 am
Location: Detroit Institute of Arts

 
This workshop will begin with best practices for welcoming and engaging the autism community at your institution, with presentations by autism expert, Dr. Sally Burton-Hoyle (Eastern Michigan University), and Senior Program Specialist, Access Smithsonian, Ashley Grady, who will be joining us virtually.
 
"Lightning presentations” on autism initiatives at cultural institutions around Michigan will be shared in the second half of the workshop. Lightning presentations can be up to five minutes long, with or without PowerPoint slides. Slides must be submitted by October 4 to be added to the master slide show.
