As Muslims in Mecca, Saudi Arabia begin completion of their Hajj pilgrimage, and the 1.8 billion Muslims celebrate the final day of Eid al-Adha, we want to take notice of how the LORD is working to bring the truth of Jesus to those practicing Islam around the world. Let us praise His name today!
Praise Report From Morocco
In recent weeks, we have had a lot of focus on Morocco in our weekly prayer newsletter. We have also prayed for people from various Berber cluster groups - many of which are in Morocco. We can praise God for what He is doing!
Here is an update from an American team that worked in two Moroccan cities recently:
Full gospel presentation was made to 53 people (efforts made with many more)
Distributed 17 Arabic / Berber bibles to Moroccans
Z is reading the Book of John and is seeking the truth
Follow up is being done by local Moroccan believers
Pray the LORD continues to work in Morocco among these Berber people!
Praise Report From Indonesia
We had a series of Hump Day prayer newsletters for Indonesia a few months ago. One week was focused on the island of Sulawesi. We asked for laborers to be sent there among the unreached. Here is a praise report from a team who recently returned from Sulawesi:
The Muna people were successfully engaged. This group of 340,000 people is 98.5% Muslim with only 0.05% followers of Jesus.
The Tolaki people were successfully engaged. This group of 342,000 people is 94% Muslim and only 0.81% followers of Jesus.
One child named Isa, unaware that their name referred to Jesus in Islam, heard truth about Jesus Christ and the gospel for the first time ever.
Pray for all of those successfully engaged with the gospel in Indonesia on the island of Sulawesi.
Praise Report From 90 Day Campaign
We reported earlier this year that a 90 day campaign using "The Adha of the Injeel" video would take place targeting Egypt. The campaign ran from April 1 through June 30. Here is the report:
Over 216 people responded to the campaign wanting to know more about Jesus.
15 people put their faith in Jesus (12 men and 3 women). All are being discipled.
Though Egypt was the targeted nation, the LORD did more! Respondents came from Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq, Jordan and the UK! (Ephesians 3:20)
Praise God for the new followers of Jesus and for what He did in Egypt and other nations.
Praise Report From DFW
Saturday, August 10 our Fearless Loveteam delivered food to Arabic speaking refugee families. Our strategy that day was to share what John the Baptist said about Jesus being "the Lamb of God who would take away the sin of the world" and share "The Adha of the Injeel" video. Here is what happened:
Eleven people watched the video. Several deep conversations followed.
Five of those people downloaded the video for themselves to view it again.
One Somali downloaded a Somali Bible to his smart phone.
In addition to the food deliveries, we have been using social media to show the video to many Arabic speakers in DFW and as far away as Australia. More will be contacted in the next few days.
Praise God for what He is doing with the video here in DFW and beyond.
Please pray for the Urdu and Farsi versions of "The Adha of the Injeel" video as they are being edited over the next month or so.
Thursday, September 12 is e3 Giving Day. Each gift to a staff member's account will be increased by a portion of the $100,000 bonus pool. Details forthcoming.
