So, this is one of those ideas that probably could've used a filter. But tonight when I sat down to do the story, Fia said Please don't mention it's my birthday. Because I think we've done enough of that...

I told her in no uncertain terms, My day to write the story, my rules. (Well, that's not exactly true. Let's say I thought that to myself. & out loud I agreed with her. Sort of.)

So, here's the thing. You may think she was teasing about Leos & the way they set up weeks in advance for their birthdays,. She wasn't. Around here, we're doing only birthday things today. Going on a hike. Getting a berry pie from Wild Crumb Bakery. Going to breakfast. Sitting quietly on the back porch writing. Just so you know, those are only the planned things. There's a huge swath of time set aside for unplanned festivities, too...

Anyway, back to my spur of the moment idea. If you click on the image above, it'll pop up an email you can send right to her. (I took the liberty of offering a few ideas to get you started.
