Notices  

Congregation Consultations - This Sunday
Please join the Dean and Precentor for a Congregation Consultation as we work toward our next five year plan for the ministry of the Cathedral. The 8am Congregation Consultation will be held at 9am in the Canons’ Vestry, following the 8am Service. The Consultation for other congregations will be held over a light lunch at 12.15pm in the Barbara Darling Room. Do plan to join us.


Lunchtime Concert Series
This Wednesday 21st August at 1pm our concert will feature Lowther Hall VCE Music Students performing a selection of stunning vocal and piano works by Year 12 VCE Music students. Entry by donation.

Cathedral Seniors
Will meet next THURSDAY 22 August at 2.00pm in the Barbara Darling Room. (Please note the change of day to Thursday for this month only.)  Our speaker will Bishop Kate Prowd, Bishop who is a clinical psychologist and the bishop of the Oodthenong Episcopate of our Diocese (which covers parishes in the northern and western growth areas of Melbourne and Geelong).  Bishop Kate will speak on the topic ‘Mental Illness and Spiritual Wellbeing’. As always, everyone is most welcome to attend, irrespective of age.


Baptism, Confirmation and Reception
Come along and support those from our congregations being baptised, confirmed and receive into the Anglican Church on Sunday September 1 at 6pm. We will be joined by the Archbishop for this service, and the Dean will preach.
 
Our Climate is Changing
Join Canon Dr Stephen Ames for a conversation about the challenges facing us in Melbourne, and what the Cathedral community can actively contribute through individual and corporate action. Share in a cup of coffee or tea and contribute your ideas on Sunday 1 September at 9am in the Canons’ Vestry.
 
For your diaries - Distinctive Christian Leadership MKII
From Sunday 15 September for three Sundays, the Precentor will run the second part of our Distinctive Christian Leadership Training from 12.15-2pm.
