NEW! NAEYC Discontinuation
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) will discontinue SPA Program Review with National Recognition as part of the CAEP accreditation process effective February 1, 2020. The SPA will review reports submitted in September 2019. Information about the transition plan is available on CAEP’s
website.

Recognition Reports Now Available for Spring Review Cycles
N
otifications regarding National Recognition Reports were sent out last week. If this applies to your institution, please check AIMS to view your report(s). For recognition decision definitions and guidance on next steps, visit our Program Review Policy and Procedure page. Note: Reports for Fall Review Cycles will be made available in February.

ASCA and SOPHE Under Review
Both the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) submitted applications to CAEP’s SPA Standards Committee. Those applications are currently under review. Based on the committee’s feedback, ASCA and SOPHE have been working on revisiting their respective draft standards. Approval of either/both will result in a partnership agreement with CAEP. The field will be updated about the adoption of the standards when a decision is made.
