Knowing the Enemy
Flesh and Blood
In Matthew 16:13, Jesus asks His disciples two specifics questions centered on His identity. When Peter speaks, he answers Christ’s second question correctly. But how did he know? Jesus says he knew because the Father revealed it to him. Jesus then calls Peter blessed and speaks about “My church”. What He says about “My church” should give Christians absolute hope as we, members of His Church, seek to live for the son of God. Join us this Sunday as Mark Davis will preach at all three services.

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
—Matthew 16:13-16
