Parents Talk About the Impact of Living With Food Allergies

How much can food allergies impact a family's quality of life? Quite a bit. According to our My Life With Food Allergy: Parent Survey Report, managing a food allergy can seriously affect the emotional, social and financial well-being of parents.

Here are some of the findings in our report:
  • 44% say they or their spouse had to make a career choice (such as quitting or changing jobs) in order to care for their child
  • 59% felt they could never let their guard down
  • 74% said eating out was challenging
  • 82% changed family traditions because of food allergy
To see the rest of the results, read the first report from our three-part survey.

Help Us Improve the Lives of Children With Food Allergies

It is easier to manage food allergies with encouraging support. When you support KFA, you give someone access to a recipe database of allergy-friendly recipes. You help a parent connect with other parents managing the same food allergies. You advocate for better protections for people with food allergies. You help a caregiver save a child's life through educational information.

Please consider supporting KFA. You can be part of our mission that makes a difference in the lives of families raising children with food allergies.
