an unexpected gift...
Yesterday, I woke to the most lovely sort of Montana morning. Sunlight, cool, no humidity. Had my cup of coffee with Yoshi on the porch, wrote a bit, and then I checked my email...
I did a double take when I saw the number of emails sitting unopened in my inbox, and immediately wondered,
What did Brian do?? What did he write about today's story??? How am I going to answer all these emails??
It took a second cup of coffee straight up on the heels of my first one, (this would amount to 6 shots of espresso in less than an hour...) before I could expand into this
ginormous act of love and invitation to connect.
There were so many thoughtful blessings and wishes and wonderful stories from people with names I don't recognize, and from names I do (from workshops, queries or orders through the years...) Every single email that was sent felt personal, even though I have never met most of you.
But it wasn't just the emails, it was the gift of choice.
I'm not sure how to describe this except to say, that the recognition of a choice to expand or contract when something unexpected in life happens, is an incredible gift of agency.
Thank you for that reminder, and the invitation to expand...
always in motion,
fia
P.S. (I promise I will get to every email, it just may take me another day or so!)
P.P..S. 'choice' is one of Brian's new prints from a few days ago. Click here if you'd like the print of it...
