Springfield’s Got Talent is being held on Thursday 26 September at 1:00pm in the Tawera Memorial Hall.
Students should have brought home their entry forms by now. It is expected that each child will enter at least one item and this can be a group or individual item.
Please sight and sign their entry form. It is a good idea to talk through the item before returning the entry form back to school.
Next week is book week. The students will be involved in a number of fun reading activities across the week and we will finish the week with Book Character Dress Up Day - Friday 30th August. We will also go for a walk to showcase our book characters!
Daffodil Day is Friday 30th August.
Daffodils will be available at the school office from Monday of next week for a gold coin donation.
Our next assembly is on Monday 26th August at 2:30pm in Korimako. It will be hosted by Piwakawaka.
A reminder about Strum, Strike, Blow.
Earlier start time as we are leaving school by bus at 8.45am. Please return your permission slips and money by Tuesday at the latest as we need to confirm bus size.
Tickets will be $5.00 per person and can be purchased from the venue on the night. Students participating in the event will not require a ticket.
After the performance, please collect your child from the foyer. No parents, other than our parent supervisors will be allowed in the Arena.
Skiing - Tuesday 3 September
Please let Kylie know if you can be parent help on Tuesday 3 September. We will require 4-5 parents.
This will be our last day of the school skiing programme.

The total fundraising for the junior playground so far is at $2206.00. Due to the impending school rebuild the junior playground will be on hold for now.

Lunch Orders A reminder there will be no lunch orders for students in Years 3 - 6 next Thursday due to being at Strum, Strike, Blow.
It has been decided to cancel the soup in a cup with a cheese roll and have toasties again with up to 3 fillings: ham, cheese, corn, pineapple, tomato, onion.
Kapa Haka The junior students will be attending Kapa Haka next Friday (30th August) at Sheffield School. Please check the timetable that has been emailed out to ensure you know which week you are on.
