Some things never change...

Like your golf swing, game, or even life situations?  More on that to follow - like which paths (you have options & choices - did you not get the memo?) to consider for a more ideal direction, and why you continue to get 'stuck in place.'

Speaking of stuck - mental constipation really, something that may very likely afflict you in your thought patterns in and out of the golf park - ironic (and sad, frankly) to listen to the words from our boys of Buffalo Springfield, circa 1967Correctamundo friends of CS' missives - 'tis not the first time you've heard this tune; some things (many, really) need to be reinforced.  Re-visited.  Re-examined.

Why so?  'Cause the message within rings so very true, this mid-August day, 2019, looking at all going on around us in the world... Have the humans grown, evolved, and learned so little in the past five decades?  Are your practice habits and approach to improving on the links equally cemented in an outdated, dysfunctional and unhealthy paradigm?  Not to worry: I've got a plan for you to change things for the better.

First off, you know the routine (is that pre-shot one you use working, or not?): Click above, tune out other distractions in your oh-so busy existence for a little over two minutes - the approx amount of actual time you spend striking a golf ball in an 18-hole round of golf - listen ("What's That Sound?"), reflect, then swing back thissa way for some ideas on how you might unglue yourself from all that's holding you back, on and off the links...

"There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware"

Ouch, huh?  Ring familiar, boys & girls?  Guns.  Threats.  Fear.  Pleasant scenario and scene, isn't it?  That 'fear' thing getting in the way of  you improving?  Whatcha afraid of?  Positive change that involves taking a step back, before you go forward?  Giving up being 'OK' in order to be 'good,' and giving up being 'good' to be 'great?'  Stepping out of what you know (even if it doesn't work very well..), into the scary (where prosperity, flowering and progress dwell?  How has that ongoing constipated mindset worked for society, let alone with your ball & stick game, anyway?

Mostly say, hooray for our side"
Singing songs and carrying signs
A thousand people in the street
"What a field-day for the heat

Hooray, indeed.  Some things never change - n'est-ce pas?  What about your ineffective & inefficient practice habits?  Still confusing # of range balls hit with amount of learning?  Striving to look good on the range now, or play better on the course later?  Pausing/taking mini breaks every 20 minutes or so to let the brain (that's what's doing all the learning, people - your muscles are along for the ride..) process, digest and assimilate all?

If not, sounds like you too need to start singing a new tune - Train2Trust.

"Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away"

There's that fear thing again.  Paranoia over a particular shot or situation?  Doubt creeping into your noggin' too frequently?  You afraid 'the man' gonna take you away, kick you off the golf course, if you hit a bad one?

I understand.  Yet consider: YOU are in the here, and now.  Your mind is living elsewhere - specifically in the past, and future.  In a time warp of horrors and fantasies comprised of memories and "what ifs."  How to snap out of your trance?

"Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down"

That's right - stop - and take a look around... YOU are in a park, playing a game, with friends.  Scared now?  Not convinced? No mind if you're not buying my psychobabble - take a dose from "The Slammer" (he was 67 years young when he went to kick a young Seve's hand, below; how's your mobility these days, especially if you spend most of your waking hours sitting on your arse, looking down at a blue-lit screen...?):

"Of all the hazards, fear is the worst"

It's time to change your putting performance

This fellow can help - and he knows that nobody's right if everybody's wrong.  Read the green.  Control your speed.  Start the ball on line.  Do those three things and you will putt better.  Period.
