Leader In Me at Lutz Preparatory School
Each new school year brings opportunities for academic progress and personal growth. Lutz Preparatory is entering our third year of Leader in Me. As a Leadership Academy, we are empowering students to lead by providing unique opportunities and experiences designed to spark initiative and build leadership skills.

In working to fulfill our vision of creating a student-centered learning environment that fosters 21st century skills, Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits” are integrated into our culture and curriculum as part of our leadership model. Internalizing these principles and the leadership skills developed through students’ practice, enables them to thrive in all areas of life.

We realize that you are your child’s first and best teacher. You can help your son or daughter discover the leader within and prepare for a great life of contribution to the world. We encourage you to take the time to discuss with your child the “7 Habits” and how they can apply them at home: Be Proactive, Begin With the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win Win, Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw. Stay tuned to read about how your child and Lutz Prep will continue to grow with Leader in Me.

Red's Team Sport Order Update

We appreciate our parents' patience and flexibility as we start the 2019-20 school year with our new uniform policy and vendor.  We have approximately 40 families with outstanding orders with the vendor at this time.

Next week, teachers will begin reviewing the uniform policy and dress with students in classes.  Teachers understand that some families may not have their orders fulfilled at this time.

If parents DO NOT have their order fulfilled at this time then students may wear the following:

  1. Standard uniform bottoms
  2. In place of the required LP polo that has not been received, students may wear the following:
    1. ANY solid colored shirt with sleeves (short or long; no tank tops) to include:
      1. t-shirt
      2. polo shirt
      3. regular shirt
      4. LP spirit shirt (to include LP clubs, LP athletic teams, LP academic teams, Leader in Me, Pay It Forward, etc.).

We DO NOT want parents to purchase any additional shirts while you are waiting for your Red's order to be fulfilled.

Thank you again for your patience.  If you have any questions on the policy please contact administration@lutzprep.org.

Blazing Bolts Running Club (1st-5th Grade)

The Lutz Prep Blazing Bolts Running Club will be starting Tuesday, August 20th.  Our club will consist of any 1st-5th grade student that would like to participate in an after school activity but either isn't old enough, or prefers a less competitive atmosphere.

The Blazing Bolt Running Club is a fun way to have your students learn about running as well as give them time to socialize with their friends in a safe, friendly environment.  The Blazing Bolts' events will take place eight times per grading quarter and will be hosted at the Lutz Prep Soccer Field from after school until 4:30 PM.  The calendar below gives you the exact dates and times that the club will meet.

During our events your children will learn the value of exercise, collect prizes for their accomplishments, and, most importantly, be able to have fun with their friends.  Each student that signs up will also receive a free Blazing Bolts dri-fit T-Shirt at no extra cost and be able to participate in the end of quarter "party" where other prizes for exemplary performances will be handed out.

The Blazing Bolt Club is already booking up and only open to the first thirty children who sign up.
