Women's Health in Focus at NIH

The summer issue of Women’s Health in Focus at NIH is now available on the website of the Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH). This issue (Volume 2, Issue 2) features an article on how sex-specific characteristics influence pain and opioid use and additional content related to opioids, pain, and the health of women. Additional articles explore gender bias in STEM graduate programs, the biomedical grant review process, and representation at medical conferences. We also review this year's Annual NIH Vivian W. Pinn Symposium and ORWH's continuing efforts to address the problem of maternal morbidity and mortality.
